3 Random Facts I Am Rather Proud Of

There’s not much that I won’t eventually be sharing with you guys on this blog, I feel like, so why not start with a few facts about myself that I find somewhat unique.

I can crack nearly every joint in my body. On a regular basis (and when I mean regular, I mean almost hourly), I can crack my back, neck, and knuckles. When I’m feeling extra tense, I tend to crack my elbows, shoulders, and knees. A lot of times when I do this activity, people around me can hear the cracks pretty loud, and they tend to squirm in agony, haha. But trust me, it feel relieving! It’s like being my own chiropractor. In some ways, having done this all my life could be the reason why I don’t stress very often.

I used to write Harry Potter fanfiction. Did you know that fanfiction is a thing? It’s where fans / ordinary people make up their own stories of other people’s works, either by continuing the story where the original creator left off, or to make up their own world within the constraints of the creator’s. I am huge into Harry Potter, so when I was a teenager, I used to love writing spinoff stories of a romance between Hermione and Draco. You know, opposites attract and all that. It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything in this regards, but from time to time, there’s nothing like seeing what fans have come up with in the realm of Harry Potter.

I used to be a tomboy. Back in high school, I swore off pink and all things girly, and opted to play (very subpar) basketball. I thought wearing purses was absolutely ridiculous and that girls wore too much makeup. In my defense, the handbag trend back in the mid-2000’s were awful and high school girls really didn’t know anything about wearing makeup (especially since Youtube wasn’t around yet to teach us any better). It wasn’t until later in my teenage life where life took a 180 and I became enamored with the feminine lifestyle. Can you tell?!

Now that you know a little bit more about me, what are some things you’re proud of yourself?

It’s so interesting to read little facts like this about other people! I’ve always been super split between traditionally feminine things and being more tomboy; when I was five I could go between designing dresses and playing with toy swords in the same day. I think that’s really influenced my style now; traditional gender roles don’t make much sense to me now haha

I’m soooo with you on cracking all my joints! I do absolutely everything – neck, fingers, back, toes. Some people find it really gross, but honestly it feels so good, I don’t know how or why anyone doesn’t do it?!
