Back to the Swing of Things

Bonjour, mon amie! It has literally been months since I’ve written a blog post and it’s not because I haven’t wanted to. Trust me, I seriously love blogging and I keep going back to it time and time again. Plus, with December right around the corner, I may want to try my hands on Blogmas this year.

However, ever since Joseph and I moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, things have been busy, and I lost my blogging partner in crime over at A Perfect Canvas who usually takes my blog photos! And if you’re a blogger as well, you know the struggle it can been to reel someone in to take those photos. I would constantly have to nag Joseph to take photos, and that’s just not fun, ya know?

But now, eight long months later, I finally have a blogging friend in the area to exchange photo-taking with, and I couldn’t be happier. Her name is Emily and she just started her blog – Gamer in a Gown – so be sure to check her blog out!

A lot has happened since the move to DFW. I know I ever so briefly talked about it, but considering I’ve only written a handful of posts since then, there’s a lot to catch up on and personal style to write about.

For example, new in my slowly-growing shoe collection is this gorgeous penny loafer from J.Crew in smoky mustard. Immediately as I saw this shoe in their sale section, I was drawn to the color. It’s not every day that we come across mustard shoes done well, so I couldn’t pass it up! My feet were throbbing by the end of the first day that I wore them. But since then, these loafers have been hella comfortable.

They unfortunately sold out of it online, but I know if you go to some of their brick-and-mortar stores, it might still be in stock. On the positive side, they’re constantly releasing new colors, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Another happy addition to my closet has been this Italian leather saddle bag that I picked up from Banana Republic. I had been looking for an everyday neutral crossbody bag for the longest time that wasn’t too big and wasn’t too small, and I truly think this bag has been a great find. It goes with so many outfits, which means it’s an absolute win for me.

What are some of your new favorite closet additions?
