Okay, I hate to admit it, but I had a lot of vision and goals for this blog by the end of the year, and I failed. I didn’t stick to my to-do list as I should have. I had spread myself too thin. I let other priorities take place.
There are a ton of excuses that I can make – I moved states, which meant I didn’t have a photographer anymore. Who would want to read a lifestyle blog without visually pleasing photos? Plus, I moved to the countryside and driving to civilization where the backdrop was pretty would be a pain. And then, life, you know, sort of takes over.
I was about to give up my hat once again on this blog, until I met a new fashion blogger in the area who re-ignited my passion for this lifestyle blog. I forgot how fun it was to plan outfits and locations, to feel like models for a hot fifteen seconds, and to strategize how to become better at this craft of content creating. Since restarting the engine, I’m fired up, guys! I’ve been a lot more active on Instagram (follow me, if you haven’t!), and I am actually planning a content calendar!
Guys, I’m ready for the new year!
SHOP MILITARY OUTERWEAR
As nice as living in Texas has been, the weather does unfortunately not fulfill four seasons, so it’s hard for me to have an excuse to bring out one of my favorite coats – this Banana Republic x Olivia Polermo collaboration from last year or so. I had been looking for a regal red military coat for years, literally, and and nothing was ever just right. Or, it was super expensive. This particular coat was a rare online find that I’m honestly really proud of. The length is just right, the colors just right, and the fit just right. I absolutely love it.
Now, I just need a reason to wear it!

So, what’s in store for 2019? I’m shooting for one blog per week discussing beauty and skincare, literature, personal style, and most importantly, living minimalistically and environmentally friendly. That’s one thing that I speak about quite a bit in real life is how we as humans can better the planet we live on, and I want to share that interest on this blog. There’s a lot of changes happening, like large companies starting to ban straws such as Starbucks and Disneyland, but there’s so much still that needs to be done. Let’s start (or rather, continue) that discussion in the new year.
